Dr Buyisiwe Mhlaba is a South African medical doctor and General Practitioner based in East London, Eastern Cape. She completed her medical degree in Cuba, followed by a two-year internship at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital — the third largest hospital in the world — where she trained in high-acuity, high-volume clinical environments across major medical and surgical disciplines. She currently practises as a General Practitioner at Intercare and serves as a Permanent Medical Doctor On Demand at Life Rehabilitation, providing medical oversight for patients undergoing rehabilitation following neurological injury, chronic illness, surgery, and functional decline. Dr Mhlaba is the founder of Eldercare 24/7 and the author of the Eldercare 24/7 Clinical Training Manual, a 217-page evidence-based resource currently being prepared for CPD accreditation. She is enrolled in Harvard University's Fundamentals of Neuroscience programme, reflecting her commitment to neuroscience-informed clinical practice in ageing and rehabilitation.

We offer three packages: Essential Clinical Oversight from R3,500/month for stable elders, Premium Doctor-Led Care from R6,000-R8,500/month for moderate complexity, and Continuous Medical Oversight from R12,000-R18,000/month for high-risk patients. A detailed quotation follows the initial assessment.
Our service model operates on a private-pay basis. Detailed clinical documentation is provided that families can submit to their medical aid for potential reimbursement, depending on their specific plan benefits.
