Eldercare 24/7

About Eldercare 24/7

A doctor-led model built to protect dignity, prevent avoidable decline, and bring accountability to elder care.

Our purpose

Structured clinical care for safer ageing

Eldercare 24/7 was founded in East London, Eastern Cape, to address a growing crisis in elder care across South Africa — a crisis defined by inadequate clinical oversight, unsafe medication practices, inconsistent documentation, and the harmful assumption that decline in elderly patients is inevitable.

Dr Buyisiwe Mhlaba witnessed this crisis firsthand. She saw elders misdiagnosed, oversedated, and labelled palliative without thorough clinical evaluation. She watched families struggle with unanswered questions and unclear communication. She observed caregivers working without structured guidance, and facilities operating without the clinical governance needed to protect their most vulnerable residents.

Eldercare 24/7 exists to change this reality. Our doctor-led model delivers continuous clinical oversight, rational medication practices, structured caregiver training, and transparent family communication. We correct what is reversible, stabilise what is complex, and ensure comfort when life approaches its natural end — all guided by structured clinical governance and evidence-based medicine.

What distinguishes Eldercare 24/7 is our integration of multiple clinical pillars into a single, unified system. Doctor-led oversight provides continuous medical leadership, not episodic visits. Clinical governance protocols reduce risk, prevent incidents, and protect both families and facilities. Litigation-preventive documentation ensures that every clinical decision is justified, recorded, and POPIA-compliant. Rational medicine eliminates unsafe polypharmacy and corrects harmful prescribing patterns. And caregiver coordination ensures that the standard of daily care matches the clinical standards set during doctor visits.

Our mission is clear: to deliver dignified, medically supervised elder care through continuous clinical oversight, structured governance systems, rational medication practices, and compassionate family support — ensuring every elder in the Eastern Cape receives safe, accountable, and meaningful care.

Born in South Africa. Built for the world. Serving families across East London and the Eastern Cape with clinical integrity, compassion, and unwavering commitment to quality.
