Children are not simply small adults—their physiology, symptom presentation, and medication weight-dosing require careful paediatric assessment. Our child-friendly consulting rooms at Windmill Centre provide a reassuring setting where parents' questions are answered thoroughly and young patients are examined gently.

Early childhood is a period of rapid physical and neurodevelopmental growth. During routine child health visits, we plot your child's weight, length/height, and head circumference on standardised Road-to-Health growth charts, screening early for faltering weight, nutritional deficiencies (such as iron or vitamin D deficiency), or feeding difficulties in infancy.

We also assess gross motor, fine motor, speech, and social developmental milestones at key stages from infancy through school readiness, offering parents practical guidance on infant feeding, weaning, and immune health.

If your baby is under 3 months old with a fever above 38.0°C, shows signs of severe breathing distress (indrawing of the ribs, grunting, or bluish lips), extreme lethargy, or convulsions, proceed immediately to the nearest 24-hour hospital casualty department (such as Mediclinic Highveld) or call 10177 / 112.
